Well, it's Thursday! Garbage day. Becky and I will have to push the big can up the driveway to the road so it can be emptied when the BIG truck comes by. Roy usually takes it up there, but since it's not over-flowing with stuff, Becky and I can do it today.
It looks like we will have cooler temps today. We woke up to lots of clouds/fog this AM. I can hardly see Cathy's house and she's not that far away from us. We are supposed to have temps in the 80's and 90's for the next 10 days. I can practically see the grass grow. The flower beds are a trashy mess this year. The tall grass needs cutting but I haven't had the oomph to go out there and do it. By the time I get all the equipment ready and proper clothing on, the incentive is gone. I should get everything together the night before and then first thing in the morning just go out there and do it. This makes perfect sense, so why do I procrastinate???? I need the shirt that says "I will put off procrastinating until tomorrow". I saw that shirt and I should have purchased it. All 3 of us need to wear one.
Roy and I went to Fred Meyer last night and I got my first pair of Capri pants. They aren't too bad. I guess I will have to rethink my foot apparel. Sneekers and socks don't look real good with them. I do have some faux-Birkenstocks and I can put on little short-topped sox with them, but I still think that's a fashion faux-paux. But the idea of no sox doesn't set well. I have very ugly feet...super skinny...no meat on the bones and they are always cold. Although, while I am in Reno it might not be too bad until we go inside a casino or someplace where there is AC. Then the feet go cold. Riding in the car with the AC on will also form ice crystals on my feet. I have to keep them in the sun. The legs are also an issue. I am going to have to have Becky or Roy smear no-sun-needed lotion on them and hopefully they won't streak. Then I can have darker legs. Even if they turn orange, it's better than death-white with road-map veins showing. I wonder what happened to those nice legs I had at age 14. They weren't too bad then. Even up until 18 the legs were pretty good looking. Then the crash of "67 when I tore up my left knee up on Mt. Hood....that's when ugly set in. Oh well...that's life. It hits you when you least expect it. The white color of the legs will give away 2 things about me...I am a tourist and I come from the Pacific NW where everybody in the country thinks it does nothing but rain 24-7.
8:00 AM..time to "Let The Dogs Out" so they can go to the bathroom and then have breakfast.
